Tales At The Crown & Sceptre, Ross-on-Wye

Tales At The Crown & Sceptre, Ross-on-Wye

Whenever we’re in Ross (-on-Wye), I tend to have a pint or two in the Crown & Sceptre in the Market Place, tellin’ a tale at the open acoustic Sunday or Thursday sessions if I get a chance. (I also try to make the Forest Folk Club sessions - first and third Sunday, 7.30pm, Orepool Inn),

So when I spotted (how did I not think of it before?!) that the pool room at the back was the perfect size for a storytelling show, it felt silly not to chance my arm and ask current landlord Nigel if there was any chance of doing a set there.

So here we have it, my first full set in Ross - The Sin-Eater of Ross-on-Wye and Other Traditional Tales.

Tickets, priced £5, in advance and on the door. Advance tickets available here — Crown & Sceptre, Ross-on-Wye, Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, first story 7.30pm.
